The Client, a young travel agency specializing in boat rentals and cultural tours in Hong Kong, sought to expand into a larger office space within a factory building. Leveraging the existing inverse trapezium-shaped concrete beams, we created wood awnings mimicking boat hulls to signify the meeting rooms, making them instantly recognizable upon entry. The distinctive red color was a nod to the historical use of antifouling paint on boat hulls, adding a colorful touch. This unique design solution seamlessly integrated the building's architectural features, while reflecting the Client's core business and creating a vibrant workspace at the same time.
