Maple Plywood House was commissioned by a young couple who is creating their new permanent home in Toronto. The client wants this house to feel warm yet playful. Plywood was chosen as the key material for its warmth, as well as its affordability and sustainability. The design focuses on three main areas and each has its own character - the entrance hallway as a whimsical portal, the kitchen as a display of sculptural forms and the playroom as a hygge log cabin.
